Who we are
Located in Datanlí - El Diablo mountain in Jinotega, in a microclimate of 2,000 mm of rain with average temperature of 18 ° Celsius. Farm has a total of 590 Has of which 500 Has are pristine primary tropical cloud forest that provides a biological corridor for, quetzals, slots, toucans, parrots and several migratory birds. Biological control is used to control coffee borer and rust, also incorporates compost made from coffee pulp + biochar to reduce use of herbicide and nitrogen fertilizers which also reduces carbon footprint. Coffee cherry is processed in a Penagos wet mill with mechanical mucilage removal with minimal use of water and 100% sun-dried on the patio for slow dry process. Farm is RA certified, which ensures that all collaborators receive wages according to law and local community receives benefits as training for bird watching in order to enhance biodiversity conservation.
