Intro
The San Agustin area from where our coffee originates is located in the South of Huila State, on the Magdalena Valley and the apex compound by Central and Eastern range mountains to 1.750 m, at its lowest to 1.950 m on the highest mountains and about 188 km from the capital of Huila, Neiva. The main and more representative municipality is Pitalito with a population of 109,375 inhabitants from which 64,082 live in urban areas and 45,293 in rural areas.
About our farmers
The farmers of this area own lands of 1-5 ha. It is estimated that 47% of farmers in this area are between 41 to 50 years old and 89% of them have made their family, with a number of children ranging from 1 to 5. Their level of education is the elementary and only a small group reached high school.
