In 2005 Cóndor bought land in Alto del Obispo and constructed the ‘Centro Comunitario Alto del Obispo, a childcare center built to serve those farming communities which had provided much of Cóndor’s success The project was led by Cóndor, in partnership with the Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar. The institute offers the Programa de Madres Comunitarias in which childcare workers are provided to rural communities to care for children between the ages of 1 6 years old, leaving the parents free to work.Today, Cóndor covers running costs of the center.
Biodiversity
Research studies made by biodiversity entities, demonstrate the existence in this area of important species of flora and fauna, many of them included in the lists, by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, of endangered and threatened with extinction: The Black Oak, the orchid, the Andean bear, among others.
Quality improvement
With the producers of the Club San Agustin, we work on best post-harvest protocols in order to guarantee to quality specialty coffees. We organise workshop at the farms and in our cupping lab.
