Hi Chandra!
Brewing coffee is an art, and working a barista coffee machine is a skill. The first step in becoming a master at brewing coffee is understanding the basics of how a coffee machine works.
A typical commercial coffee machine has five main parts: the brew head, boiler, pump, water tank, and drip tray. The brew head is where the coffee grounds are inserted and hot water is forced through them to extract the coffee flavour.
The boiler heats up the water and sends it to the brew head. The pump creates pressure to force the hot water through the coffee grounds. The water tank holds fresh water for brewing, and the drip tray collects any excess liquid from the brewing process.
To work a barista coffee machine, first make sure that it is turned on and heating up. Once the machine is hot, add ground coffee to the brew head. The amount of coffee you use will depend on the type of coffee machine and how strong you like your coffee. Generally, you will use between 20 and 30 grams of coffee per litre of water.
Next, position the cup or jug under the brew head. Make sure that the spout is pointing in the right direction so that the brewed coffee goes into the cup or jug. The brewing process takes about two minutes, so be patient!
Once the coffee has finished brewing, remove the cup or jug from under the spout and dispose of any leftover liquid in the drip tray. Then, wipe down the brew head and all other parts of the coffee machine with a damp cloth.
Now that you know how to work a barista coffee machine, it's time to start brewing some delicious coffee! Experiment with different types of coffee beans and grinds to find the perfect combination for you. And don't forget to add your favourite toppings, like whipped cream or chocolate syrup. Enjoy!
