Is Decaf Specialty Coffee good? What is the origin of decaf specialty coffee? I just have tried specialty decaf coffee from Mexico. Is there a specific reason?

I think specialty decaf is a waste of time! Any true coffee person who wants something lighter later in the day would prefer to have a high quality tea that is decaf or has light caffeine, like most teas do.

I haven't seen that many specialty decaf coffees myself from Mexico, but I have tried one from Colombia. I think it was very nicely roasted, and it certainly tasted high quality, but there was simply something "off" about it. I can't quite describe what it was but it didn't end up satisfying the "itch" I had to drink a second coffee later in the day.
