Baristas make coffee. Well, that’s the obvious answer.
To put it simply, a barista works in a cafe or a restaurant and prepares a variety of coffee and non-coffee drinks, such as tea, hot chocolate, or other drinks, depending on the establishment.
Apart from that, they are responsible for maintaining a clean environment and making sure all the coffees are served on time and to the required standard, while also being able to adjust the grind or set up the coffee machine.
Baristas have knowledge in various coffee brewing techniques and combine this with a passion for customer service. Because cafes are fast-paced environments so they need to be quick and efficient.
The Starbucks jobs and other cafes also include serving and greeting the customers at the cafe. So being friendly and enthusiastic is a must too.
This depends on the cafe you’ll be working for but Starbucks careers list delivering legendary customer service and providing quality food products as a part of the job requirements.
So it’s not just about making coffee, after all!
