Hi Jennie,
I agree with Tanya, while you can buy coffee beans pretty much anywhere, I wouldn’t recommend buying cheap beans from the supermarket shelves.
The truth is that the beans that you can find in an ordinary store have had a long journey, traveled through continents, and have been handled by many people before they even end up on the shelf.
And since the coffee bean is an organic product, its quality changes when this time passes from when the coffee has been roasted. The chances are that coffee bean roasted months ago that you can find in the supermarket has already gone stale long before you buy.
Buying coffee bean roasted locally ensures its peak flavor and your best coffee drinking experience.
I would recommend researching specialty cafes in your area, they would source the best beans and roast them locally, so you know they’ll taste delicious.
I personally love my coffee subscription from a cafe in my city that delivers me fresh beans every week so I know I will never run out!
Hope that’s helpful and you find some great coffee beans in your area.

Hi Jennie, well it depends a lot from what you're looking for. Obviously you can buy coffee (both grounded and whole beans) in pretty much every shop, from the local market to the big chain of supermarket.
If you're looking for something nice, my suggestions are the following:
-always choose whole beans (the coffee is fresher, and with the help of a good grinder it will give you an amazing result in the cup!)
-avoid big supermarkets, and always try to buy as local as possible. After all, to reaching most of us coffee already did a long trip... it doesn't make any sense to buy beans roasted hundred of miles away
-research in advance, online of through friends/the coffee community. Here for sure you'll find many suggestions about local roasteries or coffee shops.
-experiment, explore and enjoy!
