Can anyone please help me choose a really good, fully automated bean-to-cup coffee machine to buy in the UK right now, the best possible in the price range up to £600/€700?
I want to have the best quality, most automated machine I can get for that price, producing the best tasting coffee and the finest milk foam possible, and allowing me the greatest possible control of water pressure at the brew head (preferably at least 9 bar at the brew head).
I would also like to be able to personalise and save individual drink preferences, have a removable milk reservoir I can store in the fridge, a hard-water filter, and automatic cleaning of milk pipes and limescale.
I have to be able to get spare parts and repairs in the UK.
Currently I am looking at Mellita and DeLonghi.
Q.1 -- Are they both really good for producing great tasting coffee,?
Q.2 -- If so, which of their models would be best to fulfil the requirements above?
Q.3 -- What other makes and models that are as good or better can you recommend please?
My wife wants to buy me this as a combined Christmas and birthday present, and I would be really grateful for your expert advice. MANY THANKS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hi Vasileia, this is a cool topic to discuss. I'd like to add some points to what Shruti explained already.
Bean to cup coffee machines are some of the most popular coffee machines on the market. Their purpose is to get you the freshest cup of coffee possible. The newer the coffee, the tastier it's.
Coffeemakers can be very different, depending on the kind of drinks they're able to produce. You can find two types of coffeemakers: filter and espresso.
Filter-brewers can be as simple as a drip coffeemaker or a batch-brewer with a more sophisticated shower head. The latter emulates manual filter devices and can produce incredibly good pour-overs.
Espresso machines are a completely different thing, like espresso compared to pour-over.
In both cases, bean to cup machines come with a built-in grinder. The latter means that the beans are ground immediately before brewing, which results in a more flavorful cup of coffee.
The downside of these machines is that the built-in grinder tends to be of lower quality than you can expect from separate grinders, particularly good-quality burr grinders.
Usually, espresso enthusiasts look for the best bean to cup coffee machine with a milk frother. These machines come in different types, models, and prices. You can find them by other names like super-automatic espresso machines, fully-automatic espresso machines, and some call them automatic espresso machines.
In each and every case, what sets these devices apart from other coffeemakers are their built-in grinders, and the quality of the grinder is as important as the brewer or espresso machine.
Milk frothers tend to raise the bar, depending on their ability to keep the process as convenient as expected.
Some brands like Jura are great at producing bean to cup coffeemakers, while some appliances brands like Phillips and Breville have entered the market with moderate success. Classic espresso machine brands like Gaggia and DeLonghi produce their bean to cup machines, too, with a whole range of features and models.
It isn't easy to decide based on brand only, and it's essential to consider that the price difference can be very steep, just by adding slight improvements in quality.
However, as complex as super-automatic machines are, it's crucial to learn about local technical service and support.
Nobody wants a good coffeemaker that's impossible to fix!

Hi there! It looks like you're on the lookout for an ideal coffee maker. They're great for a cappuccino, latte, or even espresso. Super easy to use and operate, they make amazing, fresh, delicious coffee.
Bean-to-cup
So exactly what does "bean to cup" mean? Well, simply put, a bean to cup coffee machine will make everything easy, from grinding the bean to brewing coffee and having it hot and fresh in your cup. So all you have to do is add the beans, and you're done, the machine will do the rest. The machine also heats the fresh coffee and simply dispenses the coffee with a click. And if that wasn't convenient enough, you can also adjust the amount of coffee and how strong you like it. Some of them also come with a milk frother and steamer for something creamier and frothier.
Pros
So, should you get one? If you like amazing coffee and you've got yourself some freshly roasted beans, you should absolutely get your hands on a bean to cup coffee machine. Since ground coffee starts losing flavor when ground, beans are always better in retaining the flavor, so the machine makes it easy with its inbuilt grinder. And in recent years, the variety of coffee beans is only growing. From citrusy ones to dark roasted ones to white coffee, a whole world of delicious coffee awaits you.
Cons
Well, since they come with a grinder, the machine can be quite noisy. Plus, since it comes with so many features and includes all steps of coffee making, they need constant cleaning. Usually, they're ideal for making lattes and cappuccinos, but if espresso is your thing, I would suggest getting an espresso machine. And last but not least, they can be a tad bit expensive.
Well, I think that's almost everything you need to know about bean-to-cup coffee machines! I hope you get yourself one.
