I've been drinking coffee since I was 16 years old. In America, I have memories of my parents filling up the drip filter coffee machine and running to class with my coffee mug and an apple (talk about a terrible breakfast, right?)
Coffee for me is a ritual. It's not even the caffeine that I need in the morning but more like the process - it feels strange to start the day without getting my pour over set up, or bothering the nearest barista for a filter coffee.
Coffee has always been an incredibly social activity for me too. I've made some of my best friends ever through the coffee industry, and I've had amazing conversations with people usually in coffee shops. I love the chats that happen around coffee, and that it's a universal beverage that connects people.
I also love coffee's versatility. The way it is prepared and enjoyed is different in so many countries, yet everyone is still able to be a part of the experience. I love that there are so many brewing methods, and that the industry employs so many people. There are so many different ways to be involved in coffee - mine is that I write about it!
What's your favorite way to enjoy coffee??
